Make sure your insurance is up-to-date for this season.
PUBLIC LIABILITY
It is compulsory for all affiliated clubs to have Public (General) Liability Insurance cover with a £10m limit and this is detailed within The FA Standard Code of Rules.
The cover continues to apply to our affiliated Clubs, registered Referees, ‘stand-in’ Referees and league competitions.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE
It is compulsory for all teams to have Personal Accident Insurance cover for each team which is detailed within The FA Standard Code of Rules and through Sportsguard, Adult and Youth Teams can select from a wide range of benefit options.
Both public liability and personal accident cover can be purchased during the affiliation process
For all claims, a claim form must be requested from UKGlobal within 30 days of the incident. Please contact either Jerry or Fiona using the details as follows:

We would advise all clubs to make a copy of the Insurance Verification letter available to their players. PROTECTING OUR PLAYERS
We partner with specialist sports insurance broker, Sportsguard. As part of that partnership for the 2022/23 season, we will continue to pay 100% of the Sportsguard Legal (Public) Liability costs for all eligible grassroots clubs as part of their affiliation.
In addition, we're contributing almost 50% towards Sportsguard Personal Accident cover up to the minimum requirements. This overall affiliation and insurance pledge amounts to a circa £140,000 investment to support grassroots football. Information regarding the cover
Principal Extensions - Liability arising from:
a) Third Party Injury
b) Third Party Property Damage
c) Libel, Slander, Error & Omissions
d) Abuse, Negligence
e) Products (i.e. Food & Drink)
f) Employers Liability
g) Tournaments (up to 2000 attendees – refer if attendance is higher or if there are participating clubs from another County FA)
h) Includes Fund Raising & Social Events
Principal Exclusions - Liability arising from:
a) Malicious or Criminal acts (including Assault).
b) Player to Player Cover
c) Use of any mechanically propelled vehicle, aircraft, hovercraft or water-borne craft.
d) Product Guarantee.
e) Damage to any data.
f) Medical malpractice.
g) Property in the charge of or control of the insured.
h) Pollution or Contamination unless caused by a sudden identifiable unexpected incident.
i) Sale of Securities or any shares of a Private Company or Corporation.
j) Loss arising from hazardous properties or from radioactive or nuclear material.
k) Bouncy Castles, Inflatables, Hazardous Pursuits, Fireworks.
This cover is based on the policy wording which is available upon request.
In the event of a claim:
All claims and/or incidents that have or are likely to give rise to a claim must be reported to CLUB COVER immediately. Please ensure all necessary report/claim forms are completed as soon as possible to avoid prejudicing any claim. Do not, under any circumstances, admit liability or promise any form of settlement.
Personal Accident Insurance
Cover is available to adult and youth teams and covers club, team players and club officials in the event of an accident arising from football activities.
