Durham FA can confirm that we have just concluded our FA Referees Courses for the year. 
 
As we are now working hard to support and develop our latest cohort, we will be looking to schedule and deliver further FA Referee Courses for 2025.

We will be looking to provide information later this year, and announce the booking process. In the meantime, please complete the below form with your details, and we will share further information ASAP about our next batch of courses as soon as we have these confirmed;

Before we can allow candidates onto one of our FA Referee Courses, they must first have completed a Learn The Laws Module and completed an FA Online Safeguarding Course, with it registered on their own FAN record.

The Online Safeguarding Course can be accessed at:

All candidates can currently complete the ‘Safeguarding for All’ course option, and Learn the Laws Learning Modules, for FREE of charge using their unique FAN number.

The Safeguarding for All course will take around 45 minutes to complete. The Learn the Laws Learning Modules will take around 90 minutes to complete.

These must be complete and you must complete the below form to prove that these have been on your own FAN account before you are provided with any booking links for upcoming courses.

FA DBS (Criminal Record Check)

All candidates who plan to referee within youth football, will also require to have an in-date FA DBS (those who are 16 years of age +) before we can register them as a referee.

Further information on this process will be sent at a later date, once candidates have a confirmed FA Referee Course booking with us. We will arrange verification sessions ahead of you attending an FA Referee Course.
