Durham FA have been working in partnership with the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) to develop a Pitch Improvement Programme that can be utilised by grassroots football clubs with the simple aim of improving the quality of grass pitches. The key principles behind the service are to provide football clubs with advice/practical solutions on a number of areas, with the simple aim of improving the club’s playing surface.

In collaboration with the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) to support volunteer grounds staff we are delivering a Level 1 Winter Pitch maintenance and a Level 2 Winter Pitches: Applied Turf Culture course.  Both courses are 1 day events with further information within the following links.
