Wor Bella is coming to Newcastle Theatre Royal
WOR BELLA - the incredible story of heroic
Blyth Spartans Ladies footballers during WW1. An out-of-town run at the Bread and Roses Theatre, Clapham, before transferring to the prestigious 1200-seat Newcastle Theatre Royal in April. The play features a to-camera cameo by Alan Shearer.
The fantastic women footballers (worldwide) of all ages today stand on the shoulders of these incredible, heroic working class women from over a century ago (before women's football was banned by the FA in 1921).
